The Role of Our Conductors

Our conductors are the leaders on the ground, embodying our commitment to operational excellence. They are highly trained professionals entrusted with significant responsibility. Key duties include:

• Being in charge of and responsible for the safe operation of all movements and equipment.
• Ensuring all required brake tests are properly completed and the information is accurately transmitted or recorded.
• Verifying train build accuracy by referencing lists and signing documentation to validate the train's order.
• Managing and updating all required documentation for Special Dangerous Commodities and Key Trains.
• Conducting and participating in comprehensive job briefings with crew members to discuss tasks, identify potential hazards, and confirm planned actions, including responsibility for point protection during shoving movements.
